Asrequired bytheAct,theNRCstaff will review theapplication andconduct an assessment ofthecompatibility oftheIndiana program with theNRC's program andthe adequacy ofIndiana's program toprotect public health andsafetywith respect tothematerials covered bytheproposed agreement.
 
After itsreview, theNRCstaffwill provide theresults of its assessment totheCommission.

lftheCommission approves theproposed agreement, the NRCwill publish thetextandasummaryofits assessment intheFederalRegister forpublic comment.TheActrequires that theproposed agreement bepublished onceeach weekfor4 consecutive weeks.After expiration ofthecommentperiod, theCommission will consider any comments received andmakeafinal decision ontherequest.
