-Enclosed is an application (XSNM3809/01), dated May 28, 2020, received by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, from TN Americas LLC, requesting amendment 1 to export license XSNM3809, which currently authorizes the export of 300 kilograms (kg) of uranium enriched to 19.95 WGT% containing 59.85 kg of uranium-235 for use as reload fuel in the JRR-3 reactor at the Japan Atomic Energy Agency.
-The purpose of the amendment is to: 1) update the U.S. address of the licensee, TN Americas; and 2) reflect the name change of the Intermediate Consignee in France from TN International to Orano NPS.
-No changes to the terms and conditions of the existing license are being requested. Therefore, our office is processing this as a minor amendment. It should also be noted that we are considering the applicants request to waive the 30-day public comment period and expedite processing and issuance of this amendment.
