This is in response to your letters dated November 17 and 18,1997, concerning the Model No. 660 series packages. Your letters described a test failure of the packaging under the hypothetical accident conditions specified in 10 CFR Part 71. You also provided justification for continued use of the packages together with compensatory measures to be used for transport. We have amended the Certificate of Compliance for the packages to incorporate the compensatory measures described in your November 18, 1997, letter.

Changes made to the enclored certificate are indicated by vertical liaes in Ip/D the margin.

Those on the attached list have beeii registered as users of the packages under the general license provisions of 10 CFR 671.12 or 49 CFR 6173.471. ))
