No. 14 Steam Generator Wide Range Level - Inoperable.
This report was initiated by Incident Report 82-127.
CONDITIONS PRIOR TO OCCURRENCE:
Mode 1 - Rx Power 98% - Unit Load 1110 MWe.
DESCRIPTION OF OCCURRENCE:
On May 10, 1982 during routine operation, the Control Room Operator noticed the No. 14 Steam Generator Wide Range. Level indication had failed low. The channel was declared inoperable at 0415 hours, and Limiting Condition for Operation 3.3.3.7 Action 1 was entered.
This occurrence constituted operation in a degraded mode in accordance with Technical-Specification 6.9.1.9.b.
l    DESIGNATION OF APPARENT CAUSE OF OCCURRENCE:
l The failure of No. 14 Steam Generator Wide Range Level Instrument was due to a loose fuse in the power supply.
ANALYSIS OF OCCURRENCE:
Technical Specification 3.3.3.7 Action 1 requires:
With the number of operable accident monitoring channels less than'the required number of channels, restore the inoperable channel (s) to operable status within 7 days, or be in hot shutdown within the next 12 hours.

s LER 82-034/03L                        CORRECTIVE ACTION:
The loose fuse was properly-tightened, and the instrument was satisfactorily tested. At 0450 hours, No. 14 Steam Generator Wide Range Level Instrument was declared operable, and Limiting Condition for-Operation 3.3.3.7 Action 1 was terminated.
