Enforcement discretion

  • If a licensee submits their LAR more than six months after the staff issues the SER, will the licensee receive enforcement discretion during the LAR review period?

PRA peer reviews

  • The NRC performed audits of the pilots' PRAs. What level of review is the NRC expecting to do for non-pilots?
  • If the NRC determines that a licensee's peer review was deficient, or the findings improperly resolved, what will the NRC do?
  • How will the issue of peer reviews of then-incomplete PRA's be addressed (for example the recent peer review at Palisades the the NRC observed)?

Safe and stable

  • What is the NRC's position regarding this issue?
  • What information is required by the NRC regarding this issue?
  • What level of detail is required?

Acceptance review process (LIC-109)

  • Will the NRC be following this process for the non-pilots?

LAR prioritization and sequencing

  • How does the NRC intend to manage the concurrent review of 20+ NFPA 805 LARs?
  • If so, what will be the criteria for prioritization?

RAI process and SharePoint technology

NFPA 805 Non-Pilot Workshop 9/29/2010

  • The pilot plants used SharePoint to assist the RAI process. Should the non-pilots expect to do the same?

License condition

  • What can non-pilot licensees expect to see in their license conditions?

Implementation items (post-SE)

  • How will implementation items be handled for the non-pilots?
  • How will these items be finally closed-out?

New information post-LAR-submittal

  • How does the NRC intend to handle new information developed after a licensee has submitted their LAR?
  • If there is the possibility of re-work, how will this be resolved?

Bounds of self approval

  • What are the boundaries of the post-transition self-approval process?
  • Are there some changes that must receive specific NRC approval?

Unanalyzed PRA methods

  • How will the NRC handle novel or previously unanalyzed PRA methods?

Fire modeling in the fire risk evaluation performance-based approach

  • What information needs to be submitted to the NRC regarding fire modeling when the fire risk evaluation approach?
  • What level of detail is required?

Design changes during the LAR review period

  • How should potentially unrelated plant changes be addressed during the LAR review period?

PRA Model maintenance

  • What are the regulatory expectations with respect to PRA model maintenance? - Plant changes? - Method changes? - Data changes?
  • What are the responsibilities of the licensee when new information leads to increases in CDF? Decreases in CDF?
