This letter is an update to Gulf States Utilities Company's (GSU) response to l            NRC Inspection Report 50-458/87-27 dated December 18, 1987.                        The following l            supplements the response to Notice of Violation 8727-01, "Failure to Obtain Required Procedure Approval."
In the {{letter dated|date=December 18, 1987|text=December 18, 1987 letter}}, under the heading "Corrective Steps Which Will Be Taken to Avoid Further Violations", GSU stated that a review will be                         ;
performed by our Quality Assurance (QA) organization to ensure that the                              j appropriate       procedures    are       identified and controlled for approval                  in l           accordance with Technical Specifications section 6.5.2.1 and 6.8.1. QA Surveillance 0S-87-12-51 was performed to satisfy this commitment and documented on a Surveillance Report dated January 8, 1988. During the course of the surveillance additional                procedures were            identified with similar approvals. All these inappropriately approved procedures have been reviewed and signed by the Assistant Plant Manager in compliance with Technical Specification 6.5.2.1.       This additional corrective action was completed by January 31, 1988.                                                                                    ,
