As of 3:00 p.m., 11/12/87, offsite power remained unavailable to the site. :At 11:48:
a.m., operations personnel shutdown.the 'B' Emergency Diesel Generator due to a. problem with the 'C' phase current transformer. _ This resulted in loss of the only operable ai_r -
compressor and another shutdown cooling isolation. However, reactor. coolant temperature-                         ,
is stable, at approximately 170 F, due to the extremely' low decay heat loads,                                   l l
The weather conditions have improved.       The licensee continues to spray clean the switch-                  a yard and insulators and troubleshoot the startup transformer. Portions.of the-switch-                            l yard ring header have been re-energized from both incoming offsite power lines.                                  l Two resident inspectors and a Region I DRP Section Chief are onsite monitoring. licensee actions. Two additional resident inspectors are in transit to the site.                                     ..
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts.has been updated-on the plant status.
