HopeCreekPRNMUpgrade80107709R0SUP19Page18of18HumanFactorsAssessmentRev.1Preinstallationtraining(1/2018)Thiswillbethefirsttrainingprovidedtoentirelicensedoperatorpopulation.ThistrainingwillbeperformedutilizingthecomputerroomPRNMsand/orthesimulatorPRNMdependingonsimulatorinstallation.Justintimetraining(4/2018)Thistrainingwilloccurduringth eoutagewhilei nstallationisoccurring.Itwillcontainuptodateinfo rmationthatmaynothavebeencoveredinthepreinstallationtraining.Thistrainingwilloccurintheclassroomand/orsimulatoroncethesimulatorinstallationiscompleted.GaptrainingpostoutageThistrainingwilloccurinatrainin gsegmentfollowingtheinstallation(Spring/Summer2018)tocoveranyga psidentifiedbetwee ntheprevioustrainingandfinalstateoftheproject.Maintenancetrainingincludesaninitial"trainthetrainers"in4thquarterof2016,withdetailedtrainingupdatesdevelopedthroughthe1stand2ndquartersof2017.Maintenancetrainingonthenewsystemwillbeginin4thquarter2017toberea dyforsysteminstallationin2ndquarter2018.StartupandinitialoperationswillbemonitoredandanyproceduralortrainingdeficiencieswillbeenteredintoPSEG'scorrectiveactionprocessfortrackingandresolution.EvaluationofthetrainingprocessforthePRNMsystemwilloccur6 12monthsfollowinginstallation.Itwillincludeareviewofsystemperfo rmanceandpersonneloperationofthesystemsinceinstallationtodetermineifanyfurthertrainingisrequiredoriftheinitialtrainingwassufficient.Thisupgradeisnotpartofacontrolroommodernizationprogram.13HumanPerformanceMonitoringStrategyNUREG 0711identifiesthat,"Ahumanperformancemonitoringstrategywillhelptoprovidereasonableassurancethattheconfidencedevelopedbythecompletionoftheintegratedsystemvalidationismaintainedovertime."Asidentifiedabove,withnochangesbeingmadetoanyimportanthumanactionswiththeinstallationofthisreplacementsystem,noIntegratedSystemValidationiswarranted.Sin cethesystemprovidesautomaticfunctions(e.g.,inputtoReactorProtectionSystemscramsignals,inputtotheReactorManualControlSystemcontrolrodwithdrawalblocks),thesameastheexistinganalogNMSsystems,therearenochangesinrequiredoperatoractions.Therefore,thereisnoimpacttoHopeCreek'sexisti ngHumanPerformanceMonitoringPr ogram.}}
