Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station Docket Number 50-265. DPR-30, Unit Two Enclosed is Licensee Event Report (LER) 98-005, Revision 00, for Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station.
This report is submitted in accordance with the requirements of the Code of Federal Regulations. Title 10, Part 50.73(a)(2)(vii)B. The licensee shall report any single cause ofinoperable independent train or channel in a single system designed to remove residual heat.
Comed is committing to the following actions:
: 1. Initiate a predef'me to verify proper operation of HPCI Turbine Turning Gear Speed Sensing Limit Switches LS14 and LS15. This preventive maintenance predefine will be initiated by November 1,1998. (Electrical Maintenance)
: 2. Initiate a predefine to verify proper operation of HPCI oil pressure switches. This preventive maintenance predefine will be initiated by January 31,1999. (Instrument Maintenance)
