50-482 Wolf Creek Generating Station March 1, 2002 J. L. Yunk 620-364-8831, X4561 The unit operated at approximately 100% power February 1, 2002, until 1102 when breaker 345-50 opened, and personnel determined that the accumulated ice from a winter storm had caused the Rose Hill transmission line to go down. Though the grid remained stable with one line down, the unit reduced power as a compensatory and precautionary measure to maintain stability. This measure would have kept the unit from going off line in the event that a second transmission line was lost. At 1145 on February 1, 2002, the unit began to decrease power. At 1320, the unit was at 80% power, and remained stable at 80% until repairs to the Rose Hill transmission line tower were completed. At 2009, breaker 345-50 was closed and the unit began to increase power. At 2303, the unit was again operating at 100%

power, and continued at 100% power through the end of February, 2002.
