Docket No. 50-482: Voluntary Commitment Regarding Containment Coolers at Wolf Creek Generating Station Gentlemen:

This letter notifies the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) of a voluntary commitment being made regarding the four containment coolers at Wolf Creek Generating Station which have been determined to be operable but degraded by Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC) in Operability Evaluation GN-14-007.

WCNOC commits to ensuring the reliability of the four containment coolers in the future by, in order of preference, either replacing the tube bundles with new based on material availability, inspection of the tube bundles, or testing of the existing tube bundles. These actions will be completed prior to restart from Refueling Outage 20.
