Pursuant to Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 50.54(q)(5), and 10 CFR 72.44(f),
Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is submitting a description of changes to the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant (WBN) Radiological Emergency Plan (REP). The affected documents are the WBN Emergency Plan Implementing Procedures (EPIP) listed below:
EPIP Revision Title 10 33 Medical Emergency Response 12 54 Emergency Equipment and Supplies 14 31 Radiological Control Response Description of Changes EPIP-1 O revision 33 enacted the following changes:
Effective Date 11/19/2024 11/14/2024 12/04/2024 Updated ambulance service phone number and added clarification to which numbers to call for emergency/non-emergency requests Editorial changes to tables within the Incident Commander - Medical Response Guidelines and Radiation Protection Group (RP) Medical Response Guidelines
U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission WBL-24-049 Page 2 December 12, 2024 EPIP-12 revision 54 enacted the following changes:
Removed reference to "Plantronics" phones from the Quarterly Technical Support Center (TSC) Attachment.
Editorial changes to procedure names and references in the Quarterly Operations Support Center (OSC) and the Quarterly Technical Support Center (TSC) Attachments Editorial reformatting of tables within various Attachments EPIP-14 revision 31 enacted the following changes:
Updated guidance for Field Monitoring Team dispatch These listed changes were evaluated in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q)(3) and 10 CFR 72.44(f). TVA determined that the changes did not reduce the effectiveness of the WBN REP.
The WBN REP, as revised, continues to meet the requirements in Appendix E to 10 CFR 50 and the planning standards of 10 CFR 50.47(b).
