Pursuant to Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 50.54(q)(5), and 10 CFR 72.44(f),

the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is submitting a description of changes to the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant (WBN) Radiological Emergency Plan (REP). The affected documents are the WBN Emergency Plan Implementing Procedures (EPIP) listed below:

EPIP 3

5 Revision 48 56 Description of Changes Alert General Emergency EPIP-3 revision 48 enacted the following changes:

Effective Date 09/21/2021 09/21/2021 Corrected listed procedures in Performance References. Removed EPIP-2 (Notification of Unusual Event) and added EPIP-11 (Security and Access Control) and EPIP-14 (Radiological Control Response).

Corrected EPIP-14 title.

Corrected EPIP-16 (Termination of the Emergency and Recovery) title.

Corrected spelling of "performed" in NOTE block and added the title of Attachment 1 (Alert Initial Notification Form) to a step.

U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission WBL-21-046 Page 2 September 30, 2021 Corrected title of EPIP-13 (Initial Dose Assessment for Radiological Emergencies) and the formatting of a step.

Reordered the NOTE and CAUTION labels to comply with TVA procedure template guidance.

EPIP-5 revision 56 enacted the following changes:

Corrected EPIP-16 title in References section and in Attachment 5 (Monitor/ Re-Evaluate the Event).

Corrected typographical error related to an appendix to attachment conversion,

Attachment J should be Attachment 10 (Upgrade-Protective Action Recommendation).

Corrected EPIP-14 title.

Added title to Attachment 1 (General Emergency Initial Notification Form).

Corrected Attachment 8 (Protective Action Recommendation Flow Chart) title.

The above changes were evaluated in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q)(3) and 10 CFR 72.44(f). TVA determined that the changes did not reduce the effectiveness of the WBN REP.

The WBN REP, as revised, continues to meet the requirements in Appendix E to 10 CFR 50 and the planning standards of 10 CFR 50.47(b).
