m NRC MONTHLY OPERATING REPORT

SUMMARY

OF OPERATIONS WATERFORD 3 OCTOBER 1986 The unit started the month at approximately 100% power. On October 16 a unit power reduction was initiated to perform control element assembly exerc: ting and turbine valve testing required by technical specifications. On Octooer 19 the unit returned to 100% power. On October 20 at 2049, at 100% power, a reactor trip occurred on low DNBR due to dropping control element assembly

  1. 21. On October 23 at 0848, the generator was back on line and on October 25 the unit returned to 100% power. The unit continued operation at approximately 100% power to the end of the month.
