License No. NPF-38 Radiation Protection Superintendent

Dear Mr. Martin:

The recent transfer of the Radiation Protection Superintendent to the LP&L Corporate Radiation Control organization has created a vacancy in the plant Radiation Protection Group. LP&L has taken steps to minimize the impact of this transfer on the plant health physics activities and to fill the vacancy in an expeditious manner.

The plant Technical Support Superintendent has assumed the duties of the Radiation Protection Superintendent pending selection of a permanent replacement.

It shoul1 be noted that the individual previously in this position is still on t'te LP&L staff and his expertise is available as needed.

LP&L is arcively searching for a suitable replacement, fully qualified to Regulato.y Guide 1.8, September 1975, and has identified several candidates two of which are currently scheduled for interviews. LP&L's goal is to corrlate the selection process by November 15, 1986.

If you have any questions regarding LP&L's plans for tilling this key I

position please contact S.A. Alleman (464-3131).

Yours very truly, 8610160406 Q4fQQS
