Dear Sir:
The referenced letter discussed LP&L surveys of major industries in the vicinity of Waterford 3 which could have toxic chemical inventories onsite. That letter also described methods by which LP&L would refine our existing survey data by selectively obtaining more up-to-date toxic chemical inventory information for the chemicals and industries of concern.
However, since Reference 1 was submitted to you, LP&L has elected to perform a complete new survey rather than merely refining the existing survey data. This new survey will provide a more consistent baseline against which subsequent re-surveys may be compared in the future. We expect that the results of this su:vey can be reported to you by 1/31/84; you will be notified of any changes to this schedule.
