AmerenUE (Union Electric Company) endorses the comments submitted by the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) in their letter dated June 8, 2010 (Reference 1). Like NEI, we appreciate the opportunity to comment on the Draft NUREG-0654 FEMA-REP- 1, Revision 1, Supplement 3, "Guidance for Protective Action Recommendations for General Emergencies." Likewise, we too recognize and appreciate the NRC staff's efforts in the preparation and conduct of the public meetings necessary to accommodate both industry and offsite stakeholder inquiries and concerns regarding this document. We trust you will find the comments provided by NEI useful as you work to finalize the proposed guidance with FEMA.
