UE Ladies and Gentlemen:

DOCKET NUMBER 50-483 CALLA WAY PLAT UNIT 1 UNION ELECTRC CO.

FACILIT OPERATING LICENSE NPF-30 CYCLE 16 CO~TMNT CHANGE S~RY REPORT Union Electric Company (AmerenUE) hereby submits the Cycle 16 Commitment Change Summary Report for the Callaway plant in accordance with Callaway procedure APA-ZZ-00540, "Commitment Management Program," which reflects AmerenUE's endorsement of the Nuclear Energy Institute's Guidelines for Managing NRC Commitment Changes.

There have not been any Callaway commitments deleted or revised between May 1 1, 2007 and November 7,2008 that meet the criteria ofthe NEI Guideline for commitments requiring NRC notification in the Commitment Change Summar Report. Note that this timeframe includes two refueling outages (i.e., Refuel 15 and Refuel 16). This is due to the desire to shift the timeframe for submitting this report so it is aligned with other reports/updates submitted per the schedule specified in ioCFR50.71(e)(4), and the fact that the last Commitment Change Summary Report submitted to the NRC did not include the time period associated with Refuel 15. (per ioCFR50.71(e)(4), revisions/updates are to be fied 6 months after each refueling outage and should reflect all changes up to a maximum of 6 months prior to the date of fiing.)

If you should have any questions on the above, please contact Scott Maglio at 573/676-8719.
