U1F DOCKET NUMBER 50-483 CALLAWAY PLANT UNIT 1 UNION ELECTRIC CO.

FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NPF-30 ADVANCE NOTIFICATION OF INTENT TO PURSUE OPERATING LICENSE RENEWAL Reference 1: STARS-06-016, "Advance Notification of Intent to Pursue License Renewal," dated August 30, 2006 By letter dated August 30, 2006 (ADAMS Accession No. ML062490564), the Strategic Teaming and Resource Sharing (STARS) alliance Integrated Regulatory Affairs Group Chairman, D.R. Woodlan, notified the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) that a STARS alliance participant intended to submit a renewal application in the fourth quarter of 2011.

Although the letter identified as reference 1, above, excluded AmerenUE from the plants having plans to pursue license renewal at that time, AmerenUE is now a participant in the STARS center of business for license renewal applications.

Therefore, this letter is to notify the NRC that AmerenUE is the STARS member that will be submitting an operating license renewal application for Callaway Plant Unit 1, in accordance with 10 CFR Part 54, in the fourth quarter of 2011. This will be the fifth STARS alliance operating license renewal application. This voluntary submission is intended to assist the NRC in its budgeting and planning process, as requested by Regulatory Issue Summary 2003-02, "Importance of Giving NRC Advance Notice of Intent to Pursue License Renewal," dated February 3, 2003.

This letter does not contain new commitments.
