Illinois Power's (IP's) Submittal of the Thermo-Lag Composition Test Results, Regarding Generic Letter 92-08. "Thermo-Lag 330-1 Barriers"
Dear Sir:
By letter dated March 28,1995 (U-602435), Illinois Power, Clinton Power Station (CPS) committed to provide the NRC the chemical composition test results within 60 days of receipt of the evaluation of the said results. Listed below is a summary of the test results:
Nine Thermo-Lag samples, extracted from CPS installations, were tested by NUCON International, Inc. The samples were compared by pyrolysis gas chromatography using ASTM D3452 as a general guide. The test results indicated that 4
the nine Thermo-Lag samples were consistent in terms of chemical composition to other 4
Thermo-Lag samples tested as part of the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) generic testing program. Attachment 2 contains a copy of the complete NUCON analysis report.
Attachment I provides an aflidavit supporting the facts set forth in this letter.
