Possible Implications Resulting from the Falsification of Quality Control Records at Trojan (RIII-87-A-0061)
Dear Mr. Davis:
Illinois Power has reviewed the above subject.and found that the individual involved worked at the Clinton Power Station between March 18, 1985 and December 17, 1985 as an Electrical Hanger Inspector. All inspections performed by the individual prior to September 6, 1985, were.
subject to overinspection activities.
A review of six hundred of the approximately 6,000 Conduit-&
Raceway electrical travelers implemented between September 6, 1985 and December 17, 1985, identified seven travelers that the individual had worked on.
A Quality Verification Plan was developed using the acceptance criteria in effect at that time to document reinspection of accessible attributes.
Illinois Power Quality Control Inspectors-performed this reinspection and found no rejectable attributes.
Illinois Power concludes that the inspections performed at the Clinton Power Station by this individual had no adverse impact on quality. Documentation supporting this conclusion.will be maintained at the Clinton Power Station for your staff's review.
