This letter is submitted, pursuant to Action Item #5 of the referenced letter.
to describe the long-term resolution actions taken to prevent the potential for dead-heading of safety related pumps.
A modification to the alternate miniflow lines for the Centrifugal Charging Pumps (CCP's) has been completed for Unit 1.
Alternate miniflow relief valve inlet' lines were moved upstream of the discharge check valves to prevent pump-to-pump interaction between the CCP's to ensure that deadheading does not occur. The remaining long-term modifications will be completed prior to Unit 2 fuel load. These modifications will not affect the operability of the Unit 1 pumps.
