COMANCilE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION (CPSES)
DOCKET NOS. 50-445 AND 50-446 125 VDC 10 SUPS VOLTAGE DROP SDAR: CP-87-89 (INTERIM REPORT)
Gentlemen:
On September 3,1987, we verbally notified your Mr. II. S. Phillips of a deficiency involving the voltage drop (between the Class 1E batteries and the 1
Station Uninterruptible Power Supply SUPS).
S)ecifically, documentation is j
not available which indicates the voltage dro) >etween the Class IE battery terminals and the SUPS was considered in the )attery sizing calculations.
This is an interim report of a potentially reportable item under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e).
Our evaluation of this issue is continuing to determine the impact of this deficiency on the design of the 125 VDC system. We expect to submit our next report by January 15, 1988.
