CP-87-35 (INTERIM REPORT)
Gentlemen:
On July 15, 1987, we verbally notified your Mr. I. Barnes of Raychem Motor Connection Kits (Model No. NMCK-2V-35-00) which were provided to CPSES with shims which may not be compatible with the use range requirements of the supplied breakout comnonents. This is an interim report of a potentially reportable item under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e).
Motor connection kits are designed to insulate ed environmentally seal Class IE cable connections to low voltage motors (rated 1000 volts or less).
Pending further evaluation, the acceptability of these kits is unknown.
Our evaluation of this issue is continuir.g.
We expect to submit our next report by October 30, 1987.
