Gentlemen:
On June 29, 1987, we verbally notified your Mr. H. S. Phillips of a deficiency involving engineering ' approval provided to allow bending of Nelson stud anchors on the containment liner in excess of FSAR requirements. This is an interim report of a potentially reportable item under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e).
We are continuing our evaluation and anticipate submitting our next report on this issue.no later than August 28, 1987.
