On May 13, 1987, we verbally notified your Mr. Ian Barnes of failures experienced in station battery charger circuit cards man _ufactured by Power Conversion Products, Inc.
This is an interim report of a potentially

reportable item under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e).
At this point, the issue is applicable to Unit 1 only.
J Specifically,10 failures have occurred in the Unit 1 battery chargers since October ~1983, resulting in replacement of 17 circuit cards.
The circuit cards in question have been returned to the manufacturer for analysis, j
