COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION (CPSES).
DOCKET NOS. 50-445 AND 50-446 SEISMIC DESIGN OF CONDUIT SDAR: CP-86-53 (INTERIM REPORT)
Dear Mr. Johnson:
On October 21, 1986, we notified you of a reportable deficiency involving the seismic design of conduit under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e) via our letter logged TXX-6054. This is an interim report submitted to status corrective action implemented to.date.
In our last report, we indicated a testing program had been scheduled to evaluate the ability of adhesives or clamps, applied to conduit couplings after installation, to resist torsional moments. Using the test results, corrective actions would be specified. Currently, scheduling delays have precluded the performance of these tests.
Completion of these activities are currently scheduled for January 30, 1987.
We anticipate submitting our next report February 20, 1987.
