CP-86-65 (INTERIM REPORT)
Dear Mr. Johnson:
On September 15, 1986, we verbally notified your Mr. I. Barnes of a deficiency involving unconsolidated concrete in the exterior wall of CPSES Unit 2 Reactor Containment Building.
This is an interim report of a potentially reportable item under.the provision of 10CFR50.55(e).
The condition was identified during the performance of a concrete surface repair which requires chipping of the affected area to sound concrete. Due to the extent of chipping required to reach sound concrete, an evaluation is underway to determine the possible adverse affects of the concrete void.
We anticipate completing our evaluation by November 21, 1986.
Our next report on this issue will be submitted by December 17, 1986.
