On June 16, 1986, we verbally notified your Mr. C. Hale of a defW)< scy involving a generic design concern with the qualification of fire krfice seals supplied by BISCO. We have submitted an interim report loggeq YXL MIS, dated July 16, 1986. We received an extension in submitting this res el fr e your Mr. T. Westerman until September 10, 1986.
The specific issue involves two (2) blockout fire stops which were ir.stalirG in a larger-than-tested configuration, although one had been removed ptt.4-5 inspection. The issue was identified during a comparhon of the 9xistiy electrical blockout fire seals and test data subaltted by BISCO.
