Dear Mr. Johnson:
On March.21, 1986, we verbally notified your Mr. R.-Hall of a deficiency involving the starting and operation of the safety chilled water chillers.
This is an interim report of a potentially reportable iteni under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e)..
l Possible design deficiencies exist in both the operating and standby safety chilled water loops. We are continuing our evaluation and anticipate submitting our next report by May 21, 1986.
