COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION DOCKET NOS. 50-445 AND 50-446 DIESEL GENERATOR CONTROLS SDAR: CP-86-15
Dear Mr. Johnson:
On March 14, 1986, we verbally notified your Mr. T. F. Westerman of a deficiency involving the field _ flash and K1 relays which are required to operate during the starting process of the diesel generators.
These relays were provided with a rating that does not meet specification requirements.
This is an interim report of a potentially reportable item under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e).
The issue was reported to the NRC by a Part 21 notice issued by the supplier (Delaval). We are continuing our evaluation and anticipate submitting our next report by May 16, 1986.
