Dear Mr. Johnson:
On January 24, 1986, we verbally notified you of a deficiency regarding weld failure and coating degradation in the Service Water System.
This is an interim report of a potentially reportable item under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e).
It appears that the weld failures and the plasite coating l
degradation are not related. Further testing and evaluation is necessary to resolve this issue.
We are continuing our evaluation and anticipate completion of our final report by April 11, 1986.
