On February 21, 2012, the licensee conduct … On February 21, 2012, the licensee conducted a normal shutdown in preparation for refueling outage 2R27. When Unit 2 reactor power reached approximately 11.42 percent, operations personnel manually tripped the reactor due to the receipt of high-high level indications and alarms on multiple feedwater heaters. The inspectors were in the control room when the reactor trip occurred. The inspectors observed the operators respond to the event to ensure that the licensees procedures were followed. The inspectors also observed equipment parameters available in the control room to ensure that the reactor and the associated equipment responded as expected following the reactor trip. The licensee documented the need to manually trip the reactor as CAP 1325986. The licensee was continuing to determine the cause of the high-high feedwater heater level at the conclusion of the inspection period. As a result, the inspectors determined that this issue should be considered a URI pending the review of the licensees causal investigation report and the proposed corrective actions.eport and the proposed corrective actions. +
