2004 Occupational Radiation Exposure Report The purpose of this letter is to submit the 2004 Occupational Radiation Exposure Report for Exelon Generation Company, LLC, Dresden Nuclear Power Station, in accordance with Section 6.9.A.2.a, "Annual Report," for Unit 1 of the DNPS Technical Specifications and Section 5.6.1 of Improved Technical Specifications for Units 2 and 3, "Occupational Radiation Exposure Report."

The report total of 358.939 person-rem reflects all monitored individuals who received greater than 100 mrem of exposure.

Reg Guide 1.16 Report Comments This report includes individuals who have TEDE values >100 mrem. These individuals are identified by calculating DDE-Gamma, DDE-Neutron and CEDE record dose.

Once these individuals are identified, their secondary (ED) dose is reported by work function-RWPs(*) worked on and categorized as follows:

1. Reactor Operations and Surveillance
2. Routine Maintenance
3. Special Maintenance
4. Waste Processing
5. Refueling Individuals are categorized by personnel type (#) as follows:
1. Station
2. Utility
3. Contractors/Others Individuals are categorized by job functions (#) as follows:
1. Maintenance
2. Operations
3. Supervisory
4. Health Physics
5. Engineering
  • For RWPs with more than one work group, all secondary dose is assigned to the higher value work group.
  1. The "total by job function" category lists individuals by the last job function of the year.

The last line unumber of employees with >100 mrem" includes individuals by the last personnel type of the year. This total may be less than the-"total by job function" if individuals' personnel types were changed during the year (i.e. contractor to station employee).
