ALL AGREEMENT STATES, CONNECTICUT, INDIANA, NRC NMSS, AND NRC REGIONS I, III, AND IV CLOSEOUT OF PROCEDURE BACKGROUND BK-100 PROCEDURE DESCRIPTION DOCUMENTATION (STC-21-038)
Purpose:
To inform the National Materials Program (NMP) community that Background Procedure BK-100 Procedure Description Documentation (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML16124B017) has been rescinded.
Background:
The procedure BK-100 provided a compilation of legislation, regulations, policy statements, and other reference documents related to the Agreement State program, as authorized by Section 274 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as Amended, and the Energy Policy Act of 2005.
Discussion: The procedure BK-100 essentially served as a list of foundation documents for the National Materials Program. The references and website links in BK-100 have been added to the Resources & Tools section of the State Communications Portal Web site, https://scp.nrc.gov/, under the tab titled Agreement State Program Basis Documents. The closeout of BK-100 is part of NRCs ongoing efforts to streamline the library of Agreement State guidance documents, reduce unnecessary duplication of information, and enhance the State Communications Portal Web site.
