01/29/2024 FOIA-2024-000083 Ingrams, Alex Leiden University To Whom It May Concern, I would like to access the undisclosed public comments submitted as part of the NRCs regulatory proposal in the docket number NRC-2015-0070-0229. As part of the proposed rule, Regulatory Improvements for Production and Utilization Facilities Transitioning to Decommissioning, the NRC invited public comments in 2015.

According to the docket information on regulations.gov, there were 4,347 public comments received. However, only 153 were made public on regulations.gov.

That means that 4,194 public comments are missing. I would like to see the original missing comments to understand better what those comments contained.

Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation Items of Interest Week Ending February 2, 2024 Publication of NUREG 2194, Standard Technical Specifications, Westinghouse Advanced Passive 1000 (AP1000) Plants.

On January 29, 2024, the staff published Revision 1 of NUREG 2194, Standard Technical Specifications, Westinghouse Advanced Passive 1000 (AP1000) Plants. The updated document is the first revision of the AP1000 Standard Technical Specifications, based on changes on the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP) Unit 3 plant-specific Technical Specifications through Amendment 186 and experience gained during the construction of VEGP Unit 3. (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML24026A214, ML24026A234)

Natural Resources Regulatory Engagement Plan for Molten Salt Reactors On January 29, 2024, Natura Resources submitted a Regulatory Engagement Plan (ML24030A014) to inform the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission of its plans for pre-application activities and subsequent submission of a Construction Permit (CP) application for a Molten Salt Reactor. The plan includes the submittal of approximately four topical reports and four white papers between calendar years 2025 and 2026, in advancement of the CP application, which is expected in late 2026.

Technical Specification Task Force-592 On January 31, 2024, the staff issued Technical Specification Task Force (TSTF)-592, Revision 2, "Revise Automatic Depressurization System (ADS) Instrumentation Requirements." This revision to the standard technical specifications (NUREG-1433 and NUREG-1434) is applicable to all Boiling Water Reactors and revises the Technical Specification Actions for inoperable ADS initiation functions. This approved TSTF Traveler is now available for adoption by eligible licensees. More information on this traveler is available in ADAMS as ML24029A148.
