Enclosure 2 Rulemaking Plan to Extend the Duration of the AP1000 Design Certification: Resource Estimates Given the narrow scope and expedited schedule for the staffs recommended rulemaking option, staff estimates minimal resources are needed to complete the rulemaking. Accordingly, while not explicitly budgeted in fiscal year 2021, staff can allocate resources for this activity using its planning, budgeting, and performance management process within the rulemaking product line.
Staff estimates 1 full-time equivalent (or less) is needed to begin and complete the direct final rule in FY 2021. No contract support and travel funds are required.
