P R O C E E D I N G S CHAIRMAN Svinicki: Well good morning everyone. Before we begin this mornings Commission meeting the Commission has one item for affirmation. Madam Secretary, would you please lead us through the affirmation.
ANNETTE VIETTI-COOK: This is on Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station). The Commission is being asked to act on a Memorandum and Order responding to a petition to intervene and hearing request filed by Lacey Township and a request for a public hearing filed by the New Jersey Sierra Club on an application for a direct transfer of the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station renewed operating license and the general license for the Oyster Creek Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation.
The Commission has voted to approve a Memorandum and Order that denies the Townships hearing request, denies the Sierra Clubs request to the extent that it seeks an adjudicatory Hearing on the application, and refers the Sierra Clubs letter to the Staff for consideration as comments on the license transfer and for action as the staff may deem appropriate.
