Thank you for your letter of September 10, 2001, in which you provided comments on the NRC staffs proposals on risk-informed changes to the technical requirements of 10 CFR Part 50 (SECY-01-0133). I agree that timely and efficient changes should be made that focus limited NRC and licensee resources on more probable, higher risk events. The Commission appreciates your interest in this matter.

As you may know, SECY-01-0133 is currently under Commission review. I want to assure you that the Commission will take your comments into account in considering this paper.
