Letter from Patrick R. Simpson, Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC) to U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Braidwood Station, Units 1 and 2 and Byron Station, Units 1 and 2, "License Amendment Request to Adopt TSTF-490, "Deletion of E Bar Definition and Revision to RCS Specific Activity Technical Specification," dated December 4, 2008 In accordance with 10 CFR 50.90, "Application for amendment of license, construction permit or early site permit," EGC requested an amendment to the Technical Specifications for Braidwood Station, Units 1 and 2 and Byron Station, Units 1 and 2 in the Reference 1 letter. As discussed in the Reference 1 letter, this change is consistent with the NRC approved Reference 2. In a conference call with the NRC on February 5, 2009, clarifying information was requested by the NRC as part of the review of Reference 1. The NRC requested that the following supplemental information be provided :

A corrected reference for the methodology used to develop the proposed technical specification change.
2.
A correct reference to the public version of the NRC's Safety Evaluation for TSTF-490, Revision 0.

The correct reference for the methodology used to develop the proposed technical specification change was the NRC Safety Evaluation dated March 8, 2007 (ML070250176).

The correct reference to the public version of the NRC's Safety Evaluation for TSTF-490, Revision 0 is the NRC Safety Evaluation dated March 8, 2007 (ML070250176).
