document receive the support and endorsement of both the NRC and the d
Nuclear Industry.
To this end, adequate. industry review of the j
technical basis, methodology and evaluation results' presented in J
NUREG-1150 is required. The current comment period is inadequate to achieve this goal.
I The comment period for NUREG-1150 is stated to expire on August 21, 1987 per the notice published in the Federal Register, Vol. 52, No.
49, dated March 13, 1987. However, all of the supporting documentation for' I
NUREG-1150 has not yet been issued to the public for review.
This documentation is essential to the performance of a comprehensive review of the information contained in NUREG-1150. Therefore, it is requested j
that the comment period be extended to allow sufficient time for the supporting documentation to be reviewed, and comments to be generated and sent to the NRC. The re.* sed schedule for the end of the comment period should not be established until the entirety of the supporting documentation is issued. Your consideration in this' matter is greatly appreciated.
