Krsek joined the NRC in Region III as a fuel cycle safety inspector in 1996. He has held numerous positions since joining the agency including Senior Resident Inspector at the Point Beach nuclear power plant and Resident Inspector at the Palisades nuclear power plant. Krsek graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a bachelors of science degree in chemical engineering.

Robert Krsek is an excellent inspector with a firm commitment to safety. He will help the NRC fulfill its mission of protecting people and the environment by helping ensure the Kewaunee plant operates at the high standards set by the NRC, Region III Administrator Mark Satorius said.

Each U.S. commercial nuclear plant site has at least two NRC resident inspectors. They are out in the plant every day, sometimes on holidays and weekends, conducting inspections, monitoring major work projects and interacting with plant workers and the public. Krsek joins inspector Kevin Barclay at the plant. Both can be reached at (920) 388-3156.
