NRC Conducting Organization of Agreement States Managers' Workshop The Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will conduct a public workshop for managers of the Organization of Agreement States (OAS) July 12-14 at the Washington Dulles Marriott Suites, 13101 Worldgate Drive, Herndon, Virginia.
Agreement States are States which have assumed regulatory authority over certain radioactive materials.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss Agreement State Program issues with Agreement State managers and other interested parties.
NRC Chairman Ivan Selin will be the keynote speaker on July 12.
Topics for discussion at the Agreement States workshop will likely include:
Open Discussion of Agreement State Issues; Status of NRC Rulemakings; New Policy Statement for NRC Agreement States Program; Integrated Materials Performance Evaluation Program; Sealed Source and Device Reviews; Federal Advisory Committee Act Update; Medical Management Plan; Allegations Received Against Radiation Control Programs; National Data Base for Events Reporting; and OAS Task Force on National Events Data Base.
