NRC CHAIRMAN GREGORY JACZKO MAKING EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDER MEETING SCHEDULE PUBLIC Nuclear Regulatory Commission Chairman Gregory B. Jaczko, moving to expand the agencys openness and transparency in keeping with the Presidents Open Government initiative, Thursday began publishing his schedule of meetings with outside parties.
Public engagement contributes to the development of good public policy, said Jaczko.
I am pleased to begin making a schedule of my meetings and events that may be of interest publicly available. As NRC Chairman, I believe it is helpful for our stakeholders to see the broad range of individuals and organizations I meet with each week.
As Chairman, Jaczko is the spokesman for the agency that is charged with regulating the use of nuclear facilities and material to protect public health, safety and the environment.
Every week a list of Jaczkos meetings with outside parties during the previous week will be published under the meetings and events area of the Chairmans website. The schedule information on the website can be found at:
