.The Region V office was notified by the State of Nevada on September23, 1980 that the entire site U.S.Nevada.
at Beatty, Army had been. banned from the use of the low-level waste burial Based upan three shipments of radioactive waste from Army installations which contaired soveral items of noncompliance with 00T/NRC regulations, all burial permits for the Army have been cancelled un'til further notice.
- Action.being taken by the U.S. Army Headquarters is to consolidate all their installations unde one burial permit and institute a qual.ity assurance program which will be implemented with appropriate training in packaging of radioactive waste.
