REPORT Of OVEREXPOSURE TO RADIOGRAPHER'S ASSISTANT As a followup to the overexposure of a radiographer's assistant on April 6, 1990, a Region IV inspector was present at Memorial Hospital, Oklahoma City, when Dr. Carl Bogardus examined both the assistant and the radiographer on Monday, April 9. The inspector further questioned bath workers concerning the cvont.

, The physician reported that although the dose to the skin of the neck of the assistant was calculated to be as high as 30,000 rem, the absence of erythema on the neck or elsewhere on the assistant's body provided contradictory evidence of such an acute exposure. The physician also stated that redness which appeared on the skin of the assistant's neck on Saturday was diminished at the time of the onday exam.
