TVA OFFICAL SELECTED AS COMMONWEALTH EDISON'S CHIEF NUCLEAR OFFICER.
On October 17, 1997, Commonwealth Edison announced that Oliver Kingsley ,
has been selected as President and Chief Nuclear Officer of the utility's newly _ established Nuclear Generation Group. He will also be executive vice president of Comed. He has been chief nuclear officer at the
' Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) since 1988.
The new Nuclear Energy Group will be a business unit of Commonwealth Edison. The utility will also have a Fossil Generation Group with Robert J. Manning as its President. Mr. Manning has been serving as the utility's Executive Vice President of Generation with responsibilities for both nuclear and fossil generating facilities.
The utility issued a news release announcing Mr. Kingsley's selection.
The State of Illinois will be informed.
