SUSJ ECT:
WALKOUT OF GC INSPECTORS j/ r&v Illinois Power Comoany notified the Resident Inscector that most of the Guality Centrol insoectors for Saldwin Associates (the constructor) did not reccet for work subsecuent to a Saldwin GC sucerviser being relieved of his duties.
Safety related work has been curtailed by Illinois Power to limit the work to the amount that can be covered by the GC insoectors at the site.
The resident inscector is reviewing the licensee's actions.
There is local news media interest.
RIII will respond to any news media incuiries.
The State of Illinois is being notified.
Regien III received notificatien of this occurrence by telechene from the Resident Inscector at 9:30 a.m.
