The information is as initially received without verification or evaluation, and is basically all that is known by the Region III staff on this date.

UNIT 1 REACTOR SHUTDOWN DESCRIPTION:

On June 15, 2007, reactor operators shutdown the Unit 1 reactor as required by Technical Specifications. The Unit 1 turbine-driven auxiliary feedwater pump was declared inoperable on June 12, 2007 when it experienced high outboard bearing temperature during a surveillance run. The licensee was unable to resolve the issue within the Technical Specification allowable outage time. The licensee made the required four hour notification.

The licensee continues to investigate the cause of the high bearing temperature and to evaluate what repairs are necessary prior to restart of Unit 1. The duration of the Unit 1 shutdown has exceeded 72 hours8.333333e-4 days <br />0.02 hours <br />1.190476e-4 weeks <br />2.7396e-5 months <br />.

The State of Wisconsin will be notified.
