The information is as initially received without verification or evaluation, and is basically all that is known by the Region III staff on this date.

SECURITY EVENT AT DAVIS-BESSE DESCRIPTION:
On January 23, 2006 a security event occurred at the Davis Besse vehicle inspection facility.
The Region III incident Response Center was activated and the NRC entered Monitoring Mode at 7:15 AM EST to monitor ongoing events and licensee actions.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and Ottawa County Sheriffs department responded to the site.
Upon further review, it was determined that the incident posed no threat to plant security or plant operation.
The NRC terminated Monitoring Mode at 10:50 AM. The NRC will be reviewing the licensees response to the event.
The State of Ohio was notified.
The licensee notified the NRC of this event at 6 AM EST on January 23, 2006. This information is current as of 12 PM EST on January 23, 2006.
